Summary Economics graduate with a strong analytical background and experience in research, data analysis, and programming (Python & R). My main interests lie at the intersection of data science and economics, and I am constantly seeking opportunities in this field.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Economics
School of Economic Sciences - University of Buenos Aires (FCE - UBA)
    03/2019 - 10/2024
Thesis: Debt, leverage and pro-ciclicality: a sector-disaggregated analysis

    Average: 8.45/10.-

Experience

  • Academic - research & data
    • Research intern
      06/2023 - 04/2025
Interdisciplinary Institute of Political Economy (IIEP - UBA - CONICET)
I assisted in research projects that aimed to extract U.S. inflation expectations from 'the market' (a pool of U.S. firms), through the use of synthetic surveys completed using Machine Learning techniques.
I worked as a part of a research team, where my tasks focused on building databases, developing and reviewing code, and participating in the fine-tuning process of the models.
My work was supervised by José Daniel Aromí (Ph.D., University of Maryland).
    • Research Assistant (RA)
      04/2022 - now (on demand)
Independent - assisting Damián Pierri (Ph.D., University of San Andrés)
I actively contribute to the collection, processing, and analysis of data for multiple academic articles in the field of macroeconomics (dynamic models, growth models, fiscal policy, etc.).
My work is supervised by Damián Pierri (Ph.D., Universidad de San Andrés).

Projects in which I collaborated as research assistant:
    • Research & Data Visualization Assistant
      01/2022 - 02/2023
      Universidad Nacional de La Matanza
I developed and managed the entire data cycle, from extraction and processing to analysis and visualization, for a monthly publication of key indicators in energy economics.
  • Non-academic
    • Decision Analytics Associates (DAA)
      06/2025 - now
      ZS (consulting)
At ZS, I perform advanced data analysis and drive process automation and optimization for clients in the pharmaceutical sector.
Using Python, SQL, or both in combination, I work with large datasets to design business solutions that enhance operational efficiency and significantly reduce execution times, leading to faster, more reliable deliveries.
Currently, I am focusing on optimizing ETL pipelines, aiming to achieve much more in considerably less time.
    • Freelance Geospatial Data Analyst
      04/2025 - 05/2025
      [NDA protected] through consulting firm
I worked as a freelance Geospatial Data Analyst for a client in the Telecommunications industry through a specialized consulting firm, under a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
My work focused on analyzing and visualizing spatial data for real-world applications, particularly using basic network theory concepts and visualizations. Other type of visualizations, such as heatmaps to identify hotspots or underserved areas, were also part of the tasks to complete.
I primarily used R (and its most common libraries for spatial analysis) but I relied on other tools -such as ArcGIS and Python- as a backup.

Note: due to the nature of the project, detailed information is protected by the NDA. However, I am currently working on a mock project using similar techniques as the ones I used for this job, only this time with public and randomized data. I am happy to discuss the technologies and approaches I used in a general context.
    • Data Analyst
      2022 (on demand)
      Freelance (through online platforms)
I carried out data analysis and visualization projects for international clients (Chile, USA). Used Excel, Python, and R.

Projects

  • Econ
I conducted multiple data analyses of economic data, whether in the form of personal side-projects or by-products of ongoing research. This is a collection of a tiny fraction of those analyses.
  • BCRA_bot
I developed a Twitter bot (@BCRA_bot) that tweets daily updates of Argentina's monetary statistics, together with weekly and monthly analyses. Data is gathered using the Central Bank of Argentina (BCRA)'s official API.
The bot is hosted in Google Cloud Platform, and run with Google Cloud Scheduler.
  • EcoBici
I conducted a comprehensive data analysis of EcoBici, the public bike-sharing program of Buenos Aires to assess how, when and why people use the service. It includes mapping of most popular rides, as well as a thorough analysis. The project is now turning into an impact evaluation approach.
  • Ma-py-tas
Along the years, I created multiple maps as part of a geospatial data science project I proposed to myself. The topics included are diverse, and so are the formats of data: from a simple GeoJSON to web scraping latitudes and longitudes, and everything in between.
